Relationships & Sex

Signs That You Don’t Want to Be Happy…

unhappy-940x300

  • You keep becoming involved with emotionally unavailable men.
  • You keep taking on the role of being The Side Chick, The Other Woman, or whatever the kids are calling it these days. LOL
  • You go out with the Ass Hole Or the “Bad Boy” because you think they are more exciting.
  • You keep dating the same ‘type’ that makes you feel miserable and sometimes less than.
  • You meet a, “nice guy” who wants to treat you right and invest time in you and you say they are “Too Nice” or claim that it must be a front.
  • You want to be in a steady, committed relationship but keep sleeping around or being used sexually by guys, which eventually just breaks down your self esteem even more, which in return stops you from getting the relationship you may want (and deserve).
  • You get the opportunity to break up with the guy that is mistreating you, but you eventually take him back because you don’t value yourself enough and think it’s better to be with him, than starting all over.
  • You truly believe that it’s better to settle with anybody, than be alone.

My Favorite Styling Products

So I wanted to quickly list some of my favorite styling products (Don’t forget to check out the video as well, HERE!).

Chocolat_Smoothing_Collection

For blow drying, right now I am using the Carol’s Daughter Chocolat Smoothing Line.  I don’t blow dry my hair that often right now, but when I do I do reach for this line. I really have been enjoying. Tip: When using the blow dry cream, DO NOT apply a leave-in conditioner  before applying the blow dry cream. Your hair will feel like it has some build up. The Blow Dry Cream acts as a leave in and heat protectant. If you feel you must apply something before, use a light oil i.e., coconut oil or grapeseed oil. My Night Time Skincare Routine/MakuepRemoval

I have gotten a ton of requests for an updated Skincare Routine and here it is finally! The last time I did one of these was way back in 2010, So it was about that time as my products have definitely change.  I want to say the only thing that is the same since then is just my Clarisonic Brush, which is a MUST HAVE by the way!!!

Products Used in the video:

• Elf Makeup Wipes (I prefer the Neutrogena Makeup Wipes)

• Moist Toilet Wipes (I only use these sometime, Definitely not a requirement)

• Clarisonic Brush (Love this thing)

• Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser

• Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner

• Mary Kay Acne Treatment Gel

• Neutrogena Naturals Multivitamin Nourishing Night Cream

I’ve seen the biggest change in my face since I’ve started using the Clarisonic Brush. You don’t realize how much is left on your face when you just wash with you hands. I would say this is the one MUST have and a great investment.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Guru Inspired Tutorial: lipSHOCK’s Copper Smoke

Ok, so you guys have been asking me to get back into my makeup tutorials. I know, I know, it’s been a while. BUT, I am back on the makeup tutorial grind.

This look is actually a YouTube Guru Inspired look that was originally done by lipSH0CK. I absolutely LOVE this look. This has been my go to look ever since she posted this video! So a big THANK YOU to LipSH0CK for posting this tutorial! I wasn’t getting much use out of my Naked 2 Palette until now.

I used a couple of different things, because it didn’t have ALL the things she used [but I had most]. I also left out using Verve from the Naked 2 Palette, just because that’s MY personal preference. Continue reading “Guru Inspired Tutorial: lipSHOCK’s Copper Smoke”

Updated Eyebrow Tutorial (June 2012)

This is my current eyebrow routine. The products I use change from time to time, but the technique is always the same. I get my eyebrows thread usually once every 3-4 weeks. For the most part I do my eyebrows FIRST; Before I do my foundation, or eye makeup, there are times when I do my eyebrows after my foundation, But 9 times out of 10, it is before I do anything else. This is just the way I do it. There is no right or wrong way to do YOUR eyebrows. Do what works for YOU.

Products/Tools Used (in the video)

  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Spoolie Brush
  • 2 angled eyeliner brushes
  • Madeline Master Shape Eyebrow Pencil in Deep Brown
  • Bare Minerals Eyeshadow in Foreshadow
  • MAC Studio Fix Concealer in NW40
  • Maybelline Clear Mascara
