Sheilo Leave In Protectant Review

HEY GUYS!!

So I am back with anther review from Shielo!!

This time it is on there Leave In Spray Protectant. I’ve actually used this product in the past and just revisited it recently.

For me this is mainly to protect my a=hair during heat styling. It is a really amazing spray to use when I want a very light and fluffy blow out, and won’t weigh down my hair like creamier products tend to do.

I also like using this spray when I am doing some kind of roller set, where I sit under a hooded dryer. It offers up a nice shine while protecting my strands.

Here are the products claims: This antioxidant rich leave in protectant is designed to fortify every strand of hair, creating texture, as well as protect your hair from the stress of heat styling. Our unique protective complex with pro-vitamins, proteins and amino acids infuse hair with vitamins while providing UV protection. For deeper natural and color-treated hair color. Excellent in controlling frizz and detangling.

Which I must agree it does fully live up to their claims.

If you are looking for other uses for this products besides heat styling, I would recommend spray on your hair before going out in the summer to protect your hair from the UV rays, especially if you have color treated hair.

If you interested in trying this product out make sure you check out the Shielo website.

DevaCurl SuperCream Coconut Styler is Here! (+ Giveaway {Closed})

11379218_1025771354114815_1857442484_n

Last month I had the pleasure of attending a product testing along with other influencers for a new and exciting product from DevaCurl. I’ve used DevaCurl products briefly in the past, but I hadn’t use their products in a LONG while, not for any particular reason so I was very excited to hear and learn about their new product that was geared towards coilier textures, plus this was the first time a major company reached out to me for me to work with them!!

I had the chance to personally test and use the new SuperCream Coconut Styler, which was release on July 7th, and I must say I was really impressed. This NEW rich, coconut oil infused styler contains key ingredients like coconut oil for healthy-looking shine and moisture, jojoba protein to boost elasticity and strengthen curls, and corn starch for touchable hold and frizz control. As with all of Devacurl products, the coconut styler does not contain any sulfates, and is paraben and silicone free. Now you guys know anything with coconut I am willing to try.

I did arrived to the testing event with a fresh wash n go BUT, I really wanted to see how well this product worked on freshly washed hair and do a style that I would normally do, as a wash n go is not a hair style I do often so I asked to have my hair washed. Isabella Vasquez quickly No Poo’d my hair and told  me  she wanted me to use the SuperCream as a detangler instead. I was instantly taken back, I was like OK?!? I usually detangle with a conditioner and NOT a styler, so I was so nervous. But I did managed to detangle and twist my hair in under 30 mins. NO COMB.

I sat under a hooded dryer for about an hour or so, since I obviously couldn’t really let it air dry overnight, Unraveled  my twist and fluff up and picked the roots. I had shiny, soft, and a defined  fluffy twist out. Super Cream is EVERYTHING!!

It’s nice to see  Devacurl creating products for us 4 type textures because I was never drawn to DevaCurl because their products always seemed to be more geared towards looser textures and I just never really worked for me as my hair got longer, but now that they have this, They’ve gotten my attention. And I actually revisited some of their No Poo products and and Conditioners since trying the SuperCream and I must say I wonder why I stopped using their products, becasue they are really amazing.  I am definitely going to be trying this product out more and more and in different ways. I highly recommend you Guys try it and let me know below what you think!

They do have a few more products coming out in the fall that are all about moisture! So make sure to follow them on Instagram for upcoming products announcements @mydevacurl

King Me Hair Review (Kurly)

This is my review on the King Me Hair (Kurly). I was so excited when I received this hair.
Once I installed it, no one even notice that it wasn’t my hair. The Kurly is the perfect match to my hair and very easy to blend. I HIGHLY recommend this hair. I have a 20inch and 18 inch installed.

It’s a Review: Ouidad Curl Co-Wash Conditioner

I was contacted my a representative of Ouidad, and was given the opportunity to try out their new Curl Co-Wash Conditioner (Sulfate, Silicone & Paraben Free).

This product is described as being, a rich low-lathering, sulfate-free cleansing conditioner that leaves the hair moisturized , soft and frizz-free while gently clearing hair of buildup.  It is for all hair types and textures.

It contains Black Cumin Seed Oil, Jamaican Black Oil, Rosemary & Sage Oils. Which these oils are great for conditioning and refreshing the hair and also delivers great shine.

I co-washed my hair in six sections. I allowed it to sit in my hair for about 5 mins or so, then detangled with my double detangler (which is also by Ouidad) , and rinsed my hair out. **NOTE: The double detangler was purchased by myself over a year ago. I have spoken on it before in the past and you guys know I LOVE that comb

I absolutely enjoyed this co-wash conditioner. It was fairly easy to detangle, which was a  pleasant surprise. Once I rinsed it out, my hair felt soft and have a nice sheen to it. The lather was less than a shampoo, but more than a regular conditioner, I would say it is a happy medium, especially if you are more into co-washing (and not into shampooing). I feel like my hair and scalp were both clean but was not stripped.

List of Ingredients: Aqua (Water/Eau), Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Nigella Sativa Seed Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Oil, Fragrance/Parfum, Citric Acid, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone

Pros:

  • Smells great
  • Has a pump
  • Very Thick & Creamy
  • Great Slip
  • Leaves my hair with a nice sheen

Cons:

  • The Price. Even though I personally don’t mind the price, I know a lot of people aren’t looking to spend that much. There are other products I have used to co wash with that give me similar results. But that low-lather in a conditioner is very rare to come by. If you are someone who co-washes daily, it may not be economical option.

Other than the price I actually really like This product. I will definitely continue to use it here and there until it is done, however I don’t think I will be repurchasing it, strictly because of the price. But if I do ever want to splurge, this is something DEFINITELY worth splurging for.

Disclaimer: This product was sent to me for review. I am not affiliated with this company. I am NOT being paid to make this video. This is my honest opinion on this product.
