Braid out using Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and Eco Styler Gel

So I follow Ms. brittanyblabber on Instagram (who is also a fellow youtuber) and she posted a picture of her hair about three weeks ago  and it looked Amazing!! She had mentioned she used the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and Eco Styler Gel. Which really got me curious because these are two things that I use quite often, but I never thought to use them together. So went ahead a gave it a try.

First I applied the Curl Enhancing Smoothie

Then, topped it with the Eco Styler Gel (I prefer the Argan Oil Eco Styler Gel).

I chose to braid my hair (you can do twists of you would like). Here’s what my hair looked like after I unraveled my hair once:

*Note: My hair was in a stretched out state. But I am sure it will work just fine with shrunken hair.

The Results!!

I absolutely LOVED the way this came out. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no crunchiness from the gel nor any flaky-ness. My hair felt super soft and fluffy.

I definitely had to record this tutorial for you guys make sure you check it out HERE!!

  1. Smh…. The products that I tried out were wonderful for right then.. My hair as expected frizzed up and I ended up putting it up in a puff.. I don’t like pulling it up in the puff all the time because it’s really soft and I don’t want it to pop off… I really thought these products riotous work..Frustrated

Do you have any suggestions on what else I could try?

    1. What products have u tried?? I would say uou need something with more of a hold. On of my favorites that is also great for moisture is the Carols Daughter Healthy hair butter!! It is great for moisture. And since it also has beeswax in it. It is a good hold as well.

      1. Hi, when I did the last twist out I used ” totally twisted” hair gel and a tiny bit of ”loc butter” by Carol’s daughter, I used olive oil and mango butter moisturizer, for my leave in conditioner I used black vanilla by Carol’s daughter. It came out really pretty and I could even see some length but it did not last at all by early afternoon my hair was frizzed and shrunken…
        I appreciate you replying back

      2. Awesome!! I may have to try that!! Especially since I love the Carol’s Daughter Loc butter!!! 🙂
