Hair Care Regimen Part Two (Leave-Ins & Oils)

Check Out Part one Here

This post will be pretty short because I’m pretty light and straight to the point when it comes to leave ins and oils.

Leave-ins

The leave-in that I currently use after I wash my hair is no other than the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in. You guys have heard me talk about this numerous of times. I originally started using this during my transitioning phase. I didn’t really care for it after my natural texture started taking over, so I put it aside. After I big chopped I decided to try to go back to it, which again I didn’t care for it, LOL. After about 4-5 months I went back to it yet again. And it was then I fell in love with it.

The smell is AMAZING!! As most of you know I use this leave-in for twists out with my coconut oil, however, I also use it with other styling products as well.

Another leave in I use is the Giovanni Direct Leave-In. Now the only thing with this conditioner is that I ONLY use it when my hair is dry. I use kind of like a refreshing product, or when I don’t actually want to co-wash for a new style. I will spritz my hair with water and apply the Giovanni LI to seal in the moisture. I only do this however, when I feel my hair is SUPER dry.

Oils

As far as oils go, I use the following

  • EVOO
  • Castor Oil
  • Grapeseed Oil
  • Sweet Almond Oil
  • Jojoba Oil
  • Coconut Oil

All of these oils go into my hot oil treatment that I do every other week. I do use my Heat Therapy Wrap when I do a hot oil treatment as well.

Jojoba Oil and Grapeseed Oil is really the only one I use in between a hot oil treatment. I LOVE the Jojoba oil for my scalp. I oil my scalp as need; at most twice a week. Grapeseed I pretty much when I don’t feel my hair is dry enough to use the Giovanni LI to seal in moisture.

My favorite oil is Coconut of course! I love to use with the Cantu Leave in for twist outs and I also use it in my Shea butter mix (will discuss in a later video)

So that pretty much concludes the Oils and Leave-In section or my hair care regimen. If you have any other questions about this section, please comment below.
